Mark Pritchard has been sharing his expertise at KPU’s Wilson School of Design since 2003, bringing with him over 30 years of continuous professional experience in interior design. As a graduate of the esteemed interior design program at the University of Manitoba, Mark has made notable contributions to the fields of hospitality, corporate, healthcare, and residential design, with many of his projects being featured in publications.
Alongside his role as an instructor, Mark has successfully managed his own design practice, Pritchard Design Inc, since 2003. This hands-on experience allows him to integrate current industry insights and on-the-job knowledge into his teaching, offering students a rich understanding of contemporary interior design practices.
Mark’s dedication to nurturing creativity and embracing innovative design approaches, coupled with his deep understanding of technical and theoretical aspects, equips students with a holistic understanding of the realities of practicing interior design in today’s world.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mark holds a keen interest in material culture, restaurant and retail design, lighting, travel and food culture, as well as inclusive design research and sustainability.
