Brand & Style Curator, Heather Mandin

As a child, Heather was incredibly shy and her vice for self-expression was: storytelling. Through spoken word, costume, out of tune singing and wild dance moves, she found innovative ways to connect to the world. As an ‘adult’ not much has changed; Heather Mandin is a Style and Brand curator with 17+ years’ experience, managing client development in the academic, nonprofit, small business, corporate and luxury industries. With a BA in Film studies and Creative writing, from the University of Alberta, Heather has a finely tuned ability to curate communication.

With her beginnings in the none for profit industry, Heather piloted several arts-based learning initiatives with organizations such as iHuman, The Global Visions Film Festival and The University of Alberta. From there, she took her side hustle of jewelry making and launched a one-of-a-few jewelry line (PARTS by Heather). Rooted in the celebration of wabi-sabi; her designs graced the cover of Vogue Greece as she grew her client base across North America, exhibiting her work as a visiting artist at the North Vancouver Arts Alliance, and teaching jewelry design courses through local galleries.

Heather’s passion for style education took her into the luxury clothing world, where she revolutionized client and brand development of the Ermegildo Zegna company and Brunello Cucinelli. Piloting her infamous ‘closet clean’ to grow clientele, Heather led her team to $1.5 million in sales, sending her to Solomeo Italy alongside Brunello himself. From Italy to Los Angeles, for an editorial with Sir Elton John, Heather knew that it was time to branch out as a multi venture creative.

As an educator, Heather has written and taught courses for private fashion colleges such as JCI institute, Lasalle College and The Cut. She always has a new project up her sleeve and strives to create opportunities for learning at every juncture.
