Alex Diaz joined KPU in 2009 as an instructor of computer-aided design technology, specializing in Adobe Creative Cloud digital communication tools, Optitex 3D, CLO3D, and Microsoft Office for fashion design. He is a graduate of Kwantlen’s Bachelor of Design, Fashion and Technology program. He is an avid promoter of digital technologies and understands the importance of being up-to-date with current print, web, and 3D technologies and trends. The design process in relation to the use of technology has always been an integral part of his teaching philosophy. Alex has worked in the apparel industry as a designer, as well as a software-systems consultant in computer-aided design and manufacturing.
His current interests include the use of virtual reality (VR) platforms as a marketing tool, digital photography and research. Alex enjoys travelling, gourmet cooking, and has an appreciation for sparkling wines.
