Andhra Goundrey is the Dean of the Wilson School of Design, where she brings over two decades of experience in design education, leadership, and industry engagement. A proud alumna of KPU’s Fashion and Technology Program, Andhra began her career in the apparel industry before transitioning into academia, where she has served as a faculty member, program chair, associate dean, and now dean. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and student-centered learning.
With 24 years at KPU, Andhra has played a pivotal role in shaping the Wilson School of Design’s strategic direction, fostering interdisciplinary partnerships, championing applied research, and inclusivity within design education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Transformative Business Leadership at Ubiquity University.
Driven by a passion for transformative education and ethical leadership, Andhra aspires to empower the next generation of emerging designers and changemakers to lead with purpose. She remains deeply committed to fostering a vibrant, collaborative, and forward-thinking design community at KPU and beyond.
Outside of her professional work, Andhra is passionate about mindfulness, meditation, yoga, circuit training, and gardening—practices that inform her holistic approach to leadership and education.
