Geraldine (Gerri) is the Program and Degree Advisor for the Wilson School of Design. She is an alumna of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she earned both a Diploma and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Journalism as part of the program’s inaugural intake. She has remained a fixture in the KPU community ever since, spending 15 years in the Office of the Registrar before making the leap into faculty-based advising.
Her greatest reward comes from seeing a Wilson School of Design student’s eyes light up and their voice fill with excitement—whether it’s sparked by a suggested elective, the thrill of travel opportunities such as semesters abroad or field schools, or choosing an academic path that connects with their passions. Her purpose at WSD is to walk alongside students as they navigate their educational journey, from registration through to graduation. She is conversant in Mandarin and Chinese.
In her free time, Gerri enjoys reading romances, potting petunias, and exploring new cuisines both locally and abroad.
