Matt Anderson

Until recently, Matt served as a Senior Front End Engineer at Pixieset Inc., a technology company based in Vancouver. In this role, he collaborated with a talented team to develop Pixieset’s first mobile app for the photography industry, contributing to feature development and guiding the team in best practices. With over five years of experience in React and TypeScript, Matt also brings professional expertise with Angular and mobile applications. On the server side, Matt has professional experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, as well as personal experience with Express/NodeJS and PHP.

Earlier in his career, Matt helped establish the Interactive Design program at Capilano University alongside other former faculty of the Applied Information Technology program. As a full-time instructor, he taught HTML & CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Photoshop, while also building and maintaining websites with WordPress. Known for his enthusiasm and dedication, Matt received consistent praise from both students and colleagues.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys skiing and snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and collecting tiki memorabilia.
