Shelayne Mulholland is a Vancouver-based professional with a decade of experience in the fashion industry, specializing in technical apparel, product lifecycle management, and design innovation. A proud graduate of the Wilson School of Design, Shelayne has built a career leading design and development for top-performing collections at Kit and Ace, Aritzia and Arc’teryx.

At Kit and Ace, Shelayne progressed from Assistant Technical Developer to Lead Women’s Designer, where she helped rebrand the company from luxury apparel to technical lifestyle apparel. Shelayne designed 60% of the women’s seasonal collection for a $25M business, led fittings, and collaborated cross-functionally with sourcing, QA, and development teams. At Aritzia, she served as Technical Designer for Babaton, The Group and Ten By Babaton—specializing in Light Wovens and luxury garment construction. Shelayne currently works on the dynamic and innovative Product Development team at Arc’teryx. Shelayne is a creative problem solver managing the development of garments from inception to bulk production.

Shelayne is thrilled to be a member of the Wilson School of Design Advisory Committee. She is passionate about mentoring emerging designers and helping them bridge the gap between education and the industry with confidence, creativity, and purpose. Her work is grounded in thoughtful design, technical excellence, and a belief that fashion should empower both the wearer and the maker.

Shelayne brings curiosity, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to every project.
