Watch out! Here come over 100 design school grads, ready to launch their careers and make a big impact in the world. We could not be more excited to announce the upcoming Grad Show events with our community. We are pleased to host 3 distinctly different events, with something for everyone.
Industry Night: Thursday April 20, 5pm to 9pm

Industry Night
This event is open to all community and industry guests, those who have a particular interest in the design community, media, advisory committee members, KPU executives, and donors. Guests will have a unique opportunity to view the graduate-level work of our students, ranging from degree programs, to diploma and certificate programs. In an exhibition-style format, students will display their capstone projects, portfolios and prototypes, in the beautiful setting of our purpose-built campus. Connect one on one with our grads, discover their unique skills, future plans and opportunities for employment.

High School Tours
We love hosting high school classes on our campus, and never more than when we can showcase the work of our students. What could be more inspiring for young students to envision where they might be in a few years?
This event is open to high school students and their teachers/parents. Guests will have the opportunity to join our Future Students’ Office and their Student Ambassadors on campus tours, as well as a self-guided tour of our grad students’ displays. Some grads will be on campus and will be happy to answer questions, otherwise, our program reps will be on hand as well. Discover what you’ll learn in each of our programs, what it takes to apply and what types of career paths exist. Plus, there’ll be lots of free swag!

Friends & Family Night
This event is open to friends and family of our graduating students, our current non-graduating students, incoming new students (Fall 2023), KPU community, and generally, friends of the Wilson School of Design. Students and their parents/guardians who may be interested in the Wilson School of Design and are unable to attend the High School Tours, are welcome to attend as well.
Guests will have a unique opportunity to celebrate the 100+ graduating students, and view their work in an exhibition-style format. Students will display their capstone projects, portfolios and prototypes, in the beautiful setting of our purpose-built campus.

Will there be formal presentations or a fashion show?
No. All student work will be displayed in an exhibition-style format.
Should I attend the Industry Night event or the Family & Friends event?
We recommend that the guests attending the Industry Night event be those in the local business community, media, donors etc…The goal of this particular event is to provide guests with the opportunity to connect with our grads on a professional level. If you are a friend of KPU, a prospective student, KPU staff or faculty etc…come celebrate with us at the Friends & Family event.
I plan on coming straight from work, will there be food available?
We will be happy to provide light snacks and refreshments.
Can I drop in without registering?
For health & safety reasons, each guest must register to attend.
Is it easy to get to your campus by transit?
Yes, absolutely! We are right across the street from the Lansdowne Skytrain station.
Is there parking available?
Yes, we have a big campus parking lot, adjacent to our building.
