To me, design is a reaction to this crazy, chaotic world. I look at life in an optimistic but naïve way, and I see design as an orderly way to deal with problems. My approach to design is through observation and acting off of the feelings and emotions that are presented. I am compelled by bad design and the ability to inspire and create happiness through work. I believe good design should be acknowledged because the satisfaction created from a well thought out decision or product improves quality of life. I think, just like humans, good design is empathetic. It keeps in mind its purpose, its user, the emotional and physical effects it has on the planet and its inhabitants and makes the world better.
