Folkhouse

Folkhouse Brewing is a co-operative based brewing community. Its history is truly rooted in their passion for providing education, transparency, collaboration and of course, delicious beer to the local community it loves.

My task was to create branding for the company as well as packaging for a limited edition beer series that tells a story and aligns with the Folkhouse brand mission as well as their quirky, creative nature. Within this, there was an opportunity to create brand recognition, communicate values, foster innovation and develop customer loyalty.

The Folkhouse brand shares its passion for hops quite literally through the form of a simplified sparrow in its logo, taking inspiration from traditional old-style tattoos and minimalism. The Dark Series features a limited run of Folkhouse’s deepest and darkest beers. The series showcases the stories of three unconventional characters, Siren Song, Double Trouble and Eight Legs. These three characters ask users to embrace the unconventional, embrace the weird and ultimately embrace their love for creativity and beer.

Planty

Planty is a certified organic Oat Milk, made with simple, plant-based ingredients. The company is committed to sustainability and their products are made with care and love.

This packaging redesign project first recognized the importance of the brand’s target audience, which were mostly health-conscious women in their mid ’20s to ’40s. The resulting solution is fun and lively, featuring elements that relate to plants, as the brand is plant-based. The brand tone is equally lively and ensures customers that they are being taken care of – the Planty way.

Joshua Tree

The Joshua Tree travel app provides information about Joshua Tree National Park: things to do, see, camping and more. It targets young travellers who do not know what Joshua Tree National Park has to offer and allows for a better user experience.

As the park is so large, and the current website is not user friendly, this app seemed necessary to create as the current system was insufficient. User-centered, the new Joshua Tree app allows for an easy, hassle-free booking experience as well as provides tonnes of information for visitors through photos, information and sharing opportunities.
