Hello, my name is Nathaniel King. As far as I can recall, I have always possessed a drive for entrepreneurship, creativity, and fashion. Since I was young, I preferred to dream of owning a successful business rather than playing with toys; I was always firm with the direction of my career. In my senior year in high school, I stumbled upon WSD’s Fashion Marketing pamphlet, which indicated “You have an eye for style and a head for business”. Instantly I knew it was a must to participate in the program!

Throughout the years, I equipped myself with valuable retail experience with Zara, Aritzia, and Oak+Fort. As well, I accumulated experience with Aritzia for their corporate office. However, one major takeaway from FMRK is that it has set me up with the necessary and practical skills to launch my own business in just under two years. I plan to continue my education for another two years to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration. Throughout the program, I began working on my personal brand, ‘TOTO’ which offers hand-crafted canvas tote bags with contemporary, minimalist, and modern designs. My brand aims to redefine the traditional tote bag as an art form, while adhering to its reusability and mulfi-faceted functionality.
