Studying Interior Design at The Wilson School of Design at KPU has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities for positive change in design. My passion for life and personal wellness continues to evolve as I learn and understand the need for a greener, truly sustainable future. It starts with how we design, which materials we specify, and our connection to the natural world. To thrive and be the best version of oneself. Possessing the skills and the confidence to challenge and achieve the goals set out for. With resilience and courage to rise to the occasion and prove your worth.

“It takes a village”

“It takes a village to raise a child is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.” – African Proverb

Program Summary

Our intention for Thrive Community Wellness Centre is to create a healthy, welcoming, lively environment for young families and their children to thrive. In order to give a child a strong foundation, to grow and develop into successful individuals, it takes a village. Providing opportunity to inspire, motivate, and encourage personal wellness is our main driver. Opportunities to teach, share, and create community through a well-balanced, nurturing environment is our mission.

Our Challenge

Our challenge is to provide community members of Strathcona and the greater Vancouver area an environment that fosters personal health and wellness. By providing a positive, encouraging, and inspiring environment where both parent and child can meet like-minded individuals who are focused on early childhood development, fitness, nutrition, and social well-being, in order to thrive and build a successful future.
